PREMIERE | GIADORA DEBUTS SPELLBINDING ‘TWISTED’
Singer-songwriter Giadora introduces her debut single today on Rawckus. Entitled “Twisted,” the song narrates a tale of love, treacherous deceit, and payback.

Produced by VIISION of R&B/pop supergroup Five Star fame, “Twisted” reveals the potential found in pairing a talented artist with the right producer.
Giadora explains, “I felt that he instinctively got the sound I heard for myself in my head. I would give him an idea for what I was thinking for a song and he would come back with an incredible full production that fulfilled and went beyond my expectations. The demo of ‘Twisted’ that I presented had just my voice and piano accompaniment and he suggested we make it more of a mid-tempo dance tune, which changed the dynamic completely. I love how that feeling contrasts so powerfully with the dark and sad lyrics I wrote.”
While growing up, Giadora’s influences included Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana and The Jonas Brothers, followed by discovering artists such as Adele, Amy Winehouse, and Etta James, along with alternative bands like Blink-182 and My Chemical Romance. When she was 10-years-old, she was playing guitar. A year later, she began writing songs. By the time she was 13, she added piano to her repertoire of instruments.
During high school, still writing music, she began performing around Los Angeles, at places like Room 5, Kulak’s Woodshed, Berklee LA, the Black Rose Tavern, Guitar Merchant, and AMPLYFi. As she performed, her sound expanded in different directions, taking on savors of pop and R&B.
Put simply, it’s one of those rare voices so buff it hurts, yet simultaneously so sweetly melodic it beguiles.
Giadora describes her musical evolution, saying, “I have always written songs that are more pop oriented than indie, and I feel I have been evolving towards this more mainstream sound for a long time. I’m so grateful to Viision for helping me achieve my goals and develop my confidence and artistry. I cannot imagine doing anything but music as my life’s work and I’m excited for people to hear the music that reflects the real me.”
“Twisted” opens on pulsing vocals flowing into a sensuous R&B melody accented by tints of creamy pop flavors. A plump bass line infuses the tune with seductive throb, as layered textures of color glide overhead, undulating on sumptuous sonic filaments. A softly glowing breakdown shifts the harmonics, injecting a tasty sighing pause, prior to returning to the lush melody.
As luscious as the melody is, Giadora’s voice elevates the song from good to superb. It’s a strong voice, but more, it exudes velvety surfaces gleaming with plush erotic timbres. Put simply, it’s one of those rare voices so buff it hurts, yet simultaneously so sweetly melodic it beguiles.
