Meet Ashley Delima, who premieres the music video for “Fire In The Sky” today on Rawckus. “Fire In The Sky” provides an entrée to Delima’s debut EP, which will drop later this summer.

A major talent, and one of my personal favorites, Delima signed with Monocentric Music/Onerpm. Her imminent EP was co-written by Grammy winner Marc Swersky, Brielle Brown, and Delima, and includes the musical virtuosity of Daniel Sadownick (percussion), Vin Landolfi (guitar), Eli Menezes (guitar), Alan Markley (piano), and Adam Jackson (drums).
Delima was propelled into the national spotlight with the release of her debut single, “Stay In America,” followed by “Cigarette.” Her enticing voice and alluring sound launched her meteoric rise, acquiring endorsements from Abercrombie & Fitch, MAC Cosmetics, and The Gap, and put Delima on the stage with Brazil’s megastar Hungria Hip-Hop during his East Coast tour.
“Fire In The Sky” rides cool sensuous guitar textures followed by Delima’s seductively flowing voice. The low-slung potent rhythm exudes magnetic throbbing pulses, as Delima’s silky, sultry timbres infuse the tune with palpable intensity and sinuous tones suffused with beguiling textures. Layers of background harmonies imbue shining washes of depth and scope.
