LOVE GHOST INTRODUCES ‘CHASIN’ MONEY AND BITCHES’
Moments ago, SoCal’s premier alt-rock band Love Ghost unveiled the music video for “Chasin’ Money and Bitches.”
One of Rawckus Magazine’s favorite bands, Love Ghost is made up of Finnegan Bell (lead vocals, guitar), Ryan Stevens (bass, vocals), Samson Young (drums, vocals), Daniel Alcala (guitar), and Cory Batchler (keyboards). Right now, the band is laying down tracks for their new album, working with producer Danny Saber of The Rolling Stones and U2 fame.
Last year, Love Ghost toured Ireland and Japan and hit the main stage at Festivalfff in Ambato, Ecuador, as well as reaping numerous awards: Best Alternative Rock Band, The Jean Luc Goddard Award, along with dozens of awards for their innovative music videos. They’ve shared the stage with Buckcherry, Berlin, Smash Mouth, The Young Dubliners, The Tubes, Fuel, and Mundy.
I love the Jovian rhythm of the song, rolling with powerful pulsations and thick guitar riffs overhead, infusing the tune with grinding, growling thumping harmonics.
With the release of lost year’s high-octane single/music video “Let It All Burn,” Love Ghost leveled up to the big time. In his review of “Let It All Burn,” Staccatofy’s Seamus Fitzpatrick wrote: “With robust frontman attitude and pipes, Love Ghost is a post-millennial band that is also making guitars matter again.”
While Metalhead Community said, “’Let it All Burn’ is a very simple but powerful song with an irresistible atmosphere, great energy, and highly addictive ideas. Doesn’t matter who you are and what you do, you listen to this song once and you’ll remember this melody forever.”
Since then, Love Ghost has released a series of singles/music videos displaying their contagious sound.
“Chasin’ Money and Bitches” opens on a potent rumbling, crunching groove, as Finn’s evocative tones reveal delicious, low-slung flavors narrating his frustration, angst, and his cogent realization that money and bitches form the fulcrum of culture and life. There's a cool brattiness to the song, giving it a tongue-in-cheek aroma.

With “Chasin’ Money and Bitches,” Love Ghost continues to regale listeners with superb alt-rock full of infectious lyrics and sonic muscle.
