BLUPRINT LIGHT IT UP ON ‘ALL I’VE DONE’ EP
Denver pop-punk outfit Bluprint dropped their new EP, All I’ve Done, a couple of months ago, and it is killer stuff. The EP was produced and engineered by Andrew Berlin, mastered by Jason Livermore, and recorded at Blasting Room Studios.
According to their Bandcamp page Bluprint is “an Alternative Rock/Pop Punk band from Denver, CO. With an upbeat sound and positive uplifting lyrics, Bluprint drives to give hope that tomorrow can be better than today.”
Made up of Joshua Moore (vocals), Keaton Dean (guitar), Tyler Stark (bass), and Taylor Reid (drums), the band’s sound amalgamates tasty savors of pop-punk with subtle hints of beefy alt-rock. What sets them apart is tantalizing filaments of delicious melodicism running through their songs.
Comprising five-tracks, the EP begins with “Nothing Left To Lose,” opening on surging dirty riffs flowing into a tight and right rhythm delivered by finessed drumming and a fat, rumbling bassline. A soft, gleaming breakdown shifts the harmonics, and then ramps up to brawny wall-of-sound pressure topped by Moore’s made-for-pop-punk voice, which is taut and replete with relish, while remaining full of resonant melodicism.
“To find something quiet but profound / Some kind of sickness to wear this down / There's nothing left to lose / It's your life now to choose.”
“The Answer” features glittering guitars, followed by surging energy, as the tune assumes shape, riding stuttering harmonics that elongate into muscular surfaces.
“The Other Side” rides an intro rife with skintight truncated riffs, and then segues into layers of glistening guitars with slick, glossy accents. I love the drums on this track, injecting rhythmic flourishes from the popping snare and rounded tom-toms.
“Carry You Home” opens on light glinting textures, almost elegant, as Moore’s luscious tones glide overhead, exuding oodles of passion. As the harmonics slowly build, the tune takes on plush washes of a delightfully gorgeous ballad.

“I’m falling all over the words that were said / Repeating repeating inside of my head / For all that I’ve done for this / As long as this matters / Then this is the answer / This is the answer.”
The title track, probably the best on the album, is vaguely reminiscent of Fall Out Boy, prior to their fall from grace. Grand harmonies back up Moore’s evocatively haunting tones, full of regret and nostalgia.
Bluprint definitely has it going on! All I’ve Done delivers beau coup sonic punch and infectious rhythms, crowned by the yummy voice of Joshua Moore.
