According to his Bandcamp page, “Art Dave is just an alias, indie producer and musician from Thailand.”

His sound utilizes vocaloid/vocal synths combined with an array of influences, including ‘80s punk and post-punk, along with ‘90s alt rock and ‘80s/’90s anime music.

Mrs Misato contains three-tracks. First up is the title track, a song about a shy woman who likes to drink because it keeps her happy all day long. “Mrs Misato” opens on a jangly guitar riff reminiscent of The Byrds’ “Mr. Tambourine Man,” followed by potent bass line and crisp flat percussion. A topping veiled voice gives the lyrics a remote feel, as if projected from the background.

“Mrs. Misato, with beer in her veins / No matter what, she drinks beer / And she can't stop being drunk / She's so much a strong girl / She is empathic and emotionally shy / She drinks one first thing in the morning / To get her day started.”

The momentum of the rhythm drives the harmonics forward relentlessly, but still maintains a buttery jangly essence.

“Smile As Flower” opens on heavy, grungy guitars, infusing the tune with more alt-rock energy. As the melody takes hold, the guitars become lighter, and are enhanced by vibrant synth accents. Vocaloid tones work well on this track, coming across with creamy melodicism. I love the feel of the bright synth tones juxtaposed against the radiant washes of guitars.

“How little girl shine / Another look in your eyes / Fascination in your face / I could try to be your bright shine / Surrounded by flower / She running around / And filled of field of flowers / She looks like a flower girl.”

“Luke Rock And Roll” travels on a strumming acoustic guitar that segues into a powerful wall-of-jangle-pop surface full of brilliant flushes of color topped by glossy vocaloid harmonies. The momentum of the rhythm drives the harmonics forward relentlessly, but still maintains a buttery jangly essence.

“Luka we are rock and roll, yeah! / Luka she is confident, yeah! / Luka she looked kinda crazy, yeah! / Luka I wanna kiss you too, yeah!”

Mrs Misato blends cool retro flavors with sparkling jangle-pop colors into song with velvety impetus and luminous vocaloid timbres.
