EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE/ALBUM STREAM OF BETTY MOON’S ‘LITTLE MISS HOLLYWOOD’
L.A.-based singer-songwriter, producer, and irresistible force Betty Moon will release her new album, Little Miss Hollywood, July 31.
Encompassing 10-tracks, Little Miss Hollywood provides listeners with tasty confections of Moon’s expansive musical palette, including punk, electro-pop, pop-rock, indie, funk, and heady dance dynamics.
The tracklisting begins with the title track, then moves on to “Did It For Nothing,” “Your Dirty Love,” “Don’t Stop Now” (aka “Dead Out Of Love”), “Monsters In My Head,” “The Liar,” “All He Is,” “Find A Love,” and culminates with “Take Me Downtown.”
With “Monsters In My Head” and “Don’t Stop Now,” Moon returns to her rock-roots, pumping out stylish, heavy guitars on driving rhythms, whereas on “Your Dirty Love,” and “Did It For Nothing,” she lays down cool soul flavors. The title track and “The Liar” deliver delicious electro-pop savors, thus completing the smorgasbord of sonic fixings.
Sumptuous blues brimming with erogenous tinctures sums up “All He Is,” a song allowing Moon to parade her voluptuous tones, under exquisite lilting control.
Speaking to the surging momentum of “Don’t Stop Now,” Moon shares, “The opening riff was penned to catch listeners off guard, and to perhaps impress some of my old school fans who thought I wasn’t writing enough rock riffs. The funny thing is that I’ve always been into different types of music, but this time around I was feeling the world didn’t have enough edgy rock going around, so I’m here to deliver. The lockdown has allowed me plenty of time to write dozens of additional songs and put the final touches on this album along with others, I have so many stories to tell on these songs.”
From a purely subjective viewpoint, entry points on the album include “Your Dirty Love,” riding on sensuous layers of soul-filled surfaces, oozing and dripping with dark, erotic aromas. “Don’t Stop Now” travels on brawny guitars descending to gleaming hues atop a tight and right beat. When the guitars mousse back up, the tune pushes out dense concentrates of dirty oomph.
“The Liar” rolls out on stuttering synths accented by psychedelic washes, imbuing the tune with scrumptious luminous filaments. Moon’s voice, creamy and potently inflected, infuses the lyrics with palpable passion, as she calls out a liar.

With Little Miss Hollywood, Betty Moon displays the Jovian potency of her talent, along with her deluxe and inimitable sonic flair.
